Ieri è stata una giornata molto importante per Antonio Marras, la sua passione nel creare collezioni fuori dall’ordinario si riflette anche nelle sue presentazioni, nelle sue sfilate, nei concept store che portano il suo nome. Giovedì mattina a Milano è stata presentata la nuova primavera estate “I’M ISOLA MARRAS”. In un vero tripudio di colori, pappagalli bizzarri si mescolano a patchwork di righe, a orchidee jacquardate e a stampe foulard. Un gioco di asimmetrie fatto di sovrapposizioni e contrasti, in cui pesi e materiali diversi, pesante e leggero, lucido e opaco, si mescolano per dare a vita a questa nuova collezione che ricorda il mare, il sole il cielo, la sabbia di Bahia. La location dell’evento è stata questa nuova boutique concettuale “NONOSTANTE MARRAS”, non solo abiti, non solo libri, ma un vero e proprio spazio dedicato al mondo dello stilista, dove chi conosce il suo stile, il suo modo di essere e di vivere, rivede Antonio Marras in ogni singolo pezzo… a partire dalla grandissima foto della sua mamma, a sinistra dell’ingresso, la stessa immagine che è stata protagonista di una sua sfilata di febbraio 2010 a lei dedicata. Il “circolo”, che vi consiglio di visitare, ha inaugurato ieri sera dopo la “sfilata” a Milano Moda Donna. Una semplice sfilata? Con Marras non lo è mai, tavoli apparecchiati a mo di cerimonia, in cui gli invitati si sono accomodati per gustare questa collezione il cui simbolo sono fiori e colori pastello.

Thursday morning in Milan his new spring/summer collection “I’M ISOLA MARRAS” was showcased, a true riot of colors, bizarre parrots mixed and matched with patchwork stripes, with jacquerie orchids and foulard prints. A play of asymmetries made by overlays and contrasts, where the material specific weights, heavier and lighter, sleek and opaque, mix together to give life to this new collection recalling the sea, the sun and the sky, the sand of Bahia. The event location was the new concept boutique “NONOSTANTE MARRAS”, not only clothes, not only books, but a space dedicated to the designer’s world, where whoever knows his style, his way of being and living, can recognize Antonio Marras in each single piece… starting from the gigantic photograph of his mother, at the entrance on the left, the same image that was the core piece of one of his catwalks back in February 2010 dedicated to her. The “circle”, that I would recommend you to visit, opened yesterday evening after the “fashion show” of Milano Moda Donna. A plain parade? Never, not with Marras, tables laid for a ceremony, where guests are seated to appreciate this collection, whose symbols are flowers and pastel colors.
