iù lo guardo, più mi ricorda qualcuno: aria da figo, capigliatura interessante, espressione convinta. Ma sono gli occhiali a darmi l’indizio decisivo.

“In effetti, Olivia, ci sarebbe una cosa che vorrei chiederti…”

Bingo. Sapevo che aveva bisogno di me.

“Cosa posso fare?” le chiedo premurosa.

“Mi servirebbe una settimana di vacanza.”

Come la capisco. Prometto che appena sarà finito questo periodo di fuoco, sarà la prima a fuggire.

“Certo tesoro, prendi pure la prima settimana di agosto.”

A volte la mia generosità mi spaventa.

“Olivia… Io avrei bisogno della prima settimana di giugno.”

La prossima? Come può chiedermi ora una vacanza? Non può mollarmi nel bel mezzo di una collezione!

Ritiro tutto quello che ho detto sulla sua resa sotto pressione.

“Bianca, ti rendi conto di cosa mi stai chiedendo?”
