DI MATTEO MANZINI Black, White and Feather non è solo una delle principali tendenze che, recentemente, ha invaso le passerelle da New-York a Parigi, ma è anche stato il tema di un privatisismo party a cui ho partecipato, un ballo in maschera per festeggiare un amico davvero caro! Di ritorno da un intensa settimana di lavoro milanese, ho invaso casa con borsoni e valigie e, sommerso dal caos, ciò che mi ci voleva era un vecchio cd di Antony & The Johnson e un libro… ma non uno qualunque…”I Fiori del Male” di Baudelaire, prestatomi da un’amica molto cara e mai restituito, in quelle pagine e in quella musica ho ritrovato il mio umore, ebbro di emozioni contrastanti. Il mio look è stato quindi una reinterpretazione del tema scelto da Alessandro per la sua serata, black and white SI, ma con un twist più cupo e introspettivo, ottenuto grazie a un classico Panama di Borsalino e un paio di chino bordeaux di Marni. La moda ha la capacità di farti sentire sempre a tuo agio, non importa di quale umore tu sia, perché è quell’umore che ti vestirà…con ciò di cui hai bisogno… bianco, nero, piume, risate, tranquillità e amicizia ;-)!

BY MATTEO MANZINI Black, White and Feather is not just one of the hottest trends that has recently invaded runways shows from New York to Paris but it was also the theme of an extra-private party to which I took part, a mask ball to celebrate a dear friend! Back from a frantic week of work in Milan, I arrived at home with loads of bags and suitcases and, submersed by the chaos, what I really needed was an old CD by Antony & The Johnson and a good book… not an ordinary one……but Baudelaire’s “Les Fleurs du Mal”, which I once borrowed from a friend and that I have never given back, leafing through those pages and listening to that music I found my mood, elated with contrasting emotions. My outfit was a reinterpretation of the theme chosen by Alessandro for his party, YES, black and white but with a more intimate and dim twist, obtained thanks to a traditional Borsalino Panama hat and burgundy chinos trousers by Marni. Fashion has the power to make you feel at ease, your mood doesn’t matter, as this mood will dress you…cover you with what you need… black, white, feathers, peacefulness and friendship ;-)!
