#Italiansdoitbetter

I sostenitori dello slogan #Italianscandoitbetter.

No more mandolin, mafia and spaghetti, Italians are famous all over the world for being professional aesthetes. The love for beauty is in their DNA and they are constantly looking for it, anywhere, so that they can make beautiful even something that is not. The love the “bella vita” and in order to experience every single moment of life to the utmost they get along and struggle.  They use their wit, do everything possible, strive and when they have a goal nobody can stop them. American Beauty? Italy has nothing less than other countries, food specialities that are renowned across the globe, luxury cars, cities of arts welcoming millions of tourists and fashion that, despite prejudice, has offered a lot and still offers much. However, Italy is often criticised abroad due to circumstances. It seems a country that is not as it suffers from an inner conflict caused by the two types of people who live in Italy: conservatives and forerunners. On the one hand, people who love things as they used to be, tradition lovers and supporters of the #Italiansdoitbetter motto, so proud of what they do to believe that nobody can do better. And the rest, people who would like to change things around, open-minded, taking inspiration from other cultures, with the desire to interpret the Italian tradition in a new, international way. So much ready to change thing around to be sure that something done well can be done better. The supporters of the #Italianscandoitbetter slogan. But looking at things from outside, the first category of people seem just show-off and bold, the latter, on the contrary, poor and humble people. Finding a balance and  do ourselves justice is not easy. Italians should learn that loving traditional, hand-made food doesn’t mean not tasting fusion dishes, meaning the merger of traditional and new, good taste alternatives that enrich our meals. At the same time, Italians should remember the refrain of Carosone’s famous song: “Tu vuò fa l’ americano, ma si nato in Italy, siente a mme non ce sta’ niente a ffa” and recognize to have an unrivalled style, that is often imitated and a source of inspiration in terms of refinement and originality. And they should always remember that  the “Made in Italy” never goes unnoticed it is a distinctive trait of Italy and Italians. A 100% Made in Italy heart beating in every moment of life, a heart that Italians put in everything they do and, that nobody else can make beat at a higher rate.
