Caos to Couture: “The Best Dress”

Kim Kardashian in Givenchy custom-made: uber-mode e impeccabile, Coco Rocha in Emanuel Ungaro by Fausto Puglisi: flawless e ricca, Karolina Kurkova in Mary Katrantzou: figa e basta! Madonna in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci: TOP, standing ovation, Lauren Santo Domingo in Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda: la signora della moda, Anne Hathaway in archivio Valentino con nuovo e azzeccato look platino. Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs: molto cool e grunge, Sarah Jessica Parker in Giles custom made, cappello Philip Treacy e stivali Loubotin: over the top! Beyoncè in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci custom-made: la Diva, Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga fall 2014: estremamente minimal, ma giustissima, Vivienne Westwood e Blondie: sovrane incontrastate del movimento Punk degli anni ’70. Anja Rubik in Antony Vaccarello: HOT, una Debbie Harry lookalike, Florence Welch in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Haute-Couture: giusta (ma poteva fare di meglio), Rooney Mara in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci: testimonial perfetta e infine Donatella Versace con abito super-azzeccato!!! ( <3 )… Tutto il resto è noia…

BY MATTEO MANZINI: Only a few have fully understood this year’s theme of the Met Ball! Many attractive women…from the world of fashion and cinema were wearing dresses created exclusively for them. But stop…as this year’s theme was the PUNK style, not Cinderella go to the castle or Haudrey in “Breakfast at Tiffany”! having stated that, in themed-parties it’s important to comply with the celebrated dress-code decided by the master of ceremonies who, as usual, is ANNA WINTOUR. Do you want my opinion? Kim Kardashian in custom-made Givenchy: uber-mode and impeccable, Coco Rocha in Emanuel Ungaro by Fausto Puglisi: flawless and rich, Karolina Kurkova in Mary Katrantzou: more than simply attractive, that’s all! Madonna in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci: TOP, standing ovation, Lauren Santo Domingo in Dolce&Gabbana Haute Couture: the lady of fashion, Anne Hathaway in Valentino archive with a new, first-rate platinum haircut. Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs: cool and grunge, Sarah Jessica Parker in custom-made Giles, Philip Treacy hat and Loubotin boots: over the top! Beyoncè in custom-made Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci: the Diva, Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga fall 2014: extremely minimal but cool, Vivienne Westwood and Blondie: the unrivalled queens of the Punk of the Seventies. Anja Rubik in Antony Vaccarello: HOT, Debbie Harry lookalike, Florence Welch in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Haute-Couture: cool (but she could have done better), Rooney Mara in Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci: perfect spokesperson And then Donatella Versace with a more than first-rate dress choice!!! ( <3 )… All the rest means nothing…
