Tutto è cominciato con “Grease” e le famigerate Pink-Lady, poi è arrivata la nostra signora del punk, Vivienne Westwood, che ha insegnato a uomini e donne che tingersi i capelli di ogni tipo di colore è un diritto inalienabile, attribuendo a questo trend un significato socialmente rilevante, una protesta contro il conformismo di quell’epoca. Nella moda, la consacrazione di questa tendenza avviene nell’ottobre del 2009, quando Steven Meisel e il genio creativo francese dell’hair-dresser, Julien d’Ys, mettono sulla copertina di Vogue Italia la giovanissima Karlie Kloss e la modella danese Rianne Ten Haken con i capelli fucsia e rosso fuoco. Anche Vogue America ripete l’esperienza con il fotografo Patrick Demarchelier, affiancato dallo stesso geniale parrucchiere Julien d’Ys, che ritrae nuovamente Karlie Kloss, questa volta insieme alla modella Viktorya Sasonkina, con capelli arancio e rosa, facendone uno degli scatti più importanti della storia della moda. Poi è arrivato il color lavanda di Kelly Osbourne e una allora sconosciuta Lady Gaga che è riuscita a far impazzire il mondo con le sue parrucche variopinte. Karl Lagerfeld, dal candido del suo manto, non poteva astenersi e ha dato il suo contributo con la collezione crociera di Chanel del 2013. Giovani cortigiane con capelli color pastello hanno sfilato  nell’incantato giardino di Versailles, rendendo estremamente glamour questa attitude di natura punk. – Forse, dopo questa affermazione, i Sex Pistols stanno cercando un sicario per farmi fuori – Oggi Ke$ha, le gemelle Olsen, Nicole Richie, Nicki Minaj, Helen Mirren, Ciara, Kate Boshworth, Rita Ora, Jamie King e Rihanna sono solo alcune delle celebrities planetarie che si sono fatte contagiare da questo nuovo hot-trend. In fashion, the consecration of this trend was in October 2009 when Steven Meisel and the hair-style French genius Julien d’Ys created the cover for Vogue Italia magazine with models Karlie Kloss and Rianne Ten Haken with fuchsia and flaming red hair dyes. Vogue America did the same with photographer  Patrick Demarchelier and again Julien d’Ys portraying Karlie Kloss, this time coupled with model Viktorya Sasonkina with orange and red hair, creating one of the most famous shots in fashion history. It was then Kelly Osbourne’s turn with her lavender-colour dye and Lady Gaga who had planetary success with her coloured wigs. Karl Lagerfeld, at the top of his pure allure, couldn’t miss and gave his personal contribution to the trend with Chanel cruise collection in 2013. Young courtiers with pastel hair-dyes modelled in the enchanted garden of Versailles, making this punk attitude extremely glamorous. – perhaps, following my last statement, Sex Pistols are looking for a killer to finish me off – Today Ke$ha, the  Olsen’s sisters, Nicole Richie, Nicki Minaj, Helen Mirren, Ciara, Kate Boshworth, Rita Ora, Jamie King and Rihanna are only some of the celebrities who have been caught by this new hot-trend.
