La mia prima Priscilla…

Buongiorno!

Good morning! Yesterday was my first day at Milan Fashion Week, and everything was seemingly quiet… In the afternoon an event at Palazzo Crespi, where Aquilano and Rimondi showcased their fall-winter collection for FAY. Their iconic colours, green, orange, brown, black and camel combined with alligator prints on skirts and accessories will surely become must-have pieces. Brown ankle-boots were much appreciated too, even if they weren’t FAY boots but by courtesy of Roger Vivier. Afterwards, my runway tour started with John Richmond’s show, it seems that this fashion designer has lost his way some time now… “black, snow white and some colour hints (too few I would say), lace, devoré velvet, fil coupé, shade on shade, thick or sheer. Geometrical cuts, unravelled borders, bustier belts, wide fittings; a collection inspired to a contemporary Victorian taste, with a gothic hint and a punk background”…. how about his style? The very style that literally mesmerized us in the 90s, where has it gone? Hope he’ll get by soon! Alberta Ferretti never loses her class and elegance. A stop at the hotel for a quick shower and change of clothes and then straight to the Courrèges event at 10 Corso Como, I will feed you with all the details about it later. Matteo is here with me and yesterday evening he really surprised me I can’t stop thanking him for that… with an invitation to the theatre to see “PRISCILLA, THE QUEEN OF THE DESERT “… And the most gorgeous dresses where all there! Simone Leonardi, Bernie, was my favourite of all, she definitely made her impression on the audience and reminded me of the true Divas of the past. Excellent on stage also Antonello Angiolillo, playing Tick, Mirko Ranù, Felicia, and the three Flying Divas: Elena Nieri, Loredana Fadda, Valentina Ferrari. If you happen to be around or just here in Milan for business, I recommend you to stop for a couple hours and experience this fabulous show!
